Well I guess that makes me feel bit better. Just now need the shocks and springs to arrive and fit them, I will know as soon as I put it back on the floor if it's owt like right with ref to the ride height I guess more so at the front. Thanks

Ride height will 'settle' after a couple of weeks/couple of hundred miles usage over the height fitted fresh. May mean if you have adjustable spring seat rear dampers, you may need to tweak them to get the car level after a little usage.

Are you an rssoc member by the way? There's a series of articles I wrote in 2002/3 and have updated since, called Hot Hatch Hunter, explaining the merits and otherwise, of modifying a small scimitar. Covers all areas, brakes, drivetrain, engine performance and suspension.
