Post by mikeh » Fri Sep 14, 2018 9:02 pm

Hi I could do with some help.
I've gotta build the Ti and the 1600 but need some help.
Does anyone have a picture of how the roll bar fits to the A post ?
The bar i have is spaced out and doesn't line up with soft top brackets.
Could do with a bit of help.

Thanks

There are another set of spacers to go between the seat belt mount and the rollbar - pics in the rollbar remanufactured thread.

SS1 roll bar

Post by mikeh » Mon Sep 17, 2018 7:58 am

Hi Jim,

Thanks for link I can see how it all fits together now.
Is it possible to buy the mounting brackets or the complete kit ?
I've got some of the spacers but not all of them.
I know I can buy the bolts etc in a kit off ebay but they don't include the side brackets.
If I can buy the kit does someone have a couple of brackets or the drawings so that I could get some made ?.

Thanks

Mike

I had fitting kits made up by P&P (which included side plates) - give the club sec a bell to see if he still has any/can still get them.

Hi Jim,
Thanks for the help, sorry for not getting back to you but it's been a bad few days in my storage location as the famer passed away so it's been all hands on deck to try and help out down there.
I'm know i'll need some more advice and will try and start a project log for both cars !.
I've got loads done on the Ti so will try over this weekend to get it going.

Mike

SS1 roll bar

Post by 1800oldb » Fri Sep 21, 2018 1:04 am

Greetings Everybody
this thread has revived my interest in "elf n safely''.
In the cause of safety, I'd like to install a roll-bar (set of roll-bars?) in my 1800 SST - has anybody got the full kit for sale?
If this isn't the place to ask - please, can somebody direct me to the right place?
Thanks and have a lovely day

The club sells them - call the club secretary.

Aleybars made a few 'back in the day' of a design that sounds as you describe

Thanks for the offer Jh, but I think I'll be going the Club Sec way.
Thanks for the info, Jim.
It won't be for some time, yet.
