SS1 wheel HUB (not stud) nut socket size?

If it matters 1600 non galv car.

I'll be buying wheel nut socket(s) today on the way to the place where the car is.

What size(s) is/are needed?

depends what size the nuts are :D

I think you can get 17 or 19mm

probably 3/4" AF :wink:

Ah, hub nut :D

Mahoosive torque, so slacken them when the cars on the ground, fully loaded and the brakes work (don’t ask :oops: )

3/4 socket sets can be had for about 40 quid.
Quality not great, but given the size of the bits I doubt you will break them. Worthwhile investment.

Yes, I used a 3/4 inch socket and bar (and a piece of scaffolding tube for extra leverage). The 1/2 inch stuff I started with, started to bend....

Just did two of mine.

The Fronts are NOT 32mm. The rears are. I think the fronts look like 30mm.

Curiously, the two I got off were the left side, front and rear. The 32mm socket got enough purchase on the front nut that it loosened.

Neither of the right side ones would come off.

*must* *try* *harder*

and get a 30mm for the front.
