Anyone know anything about this?
It is a 1985 SS1600 which lives in Charente but was originally registered in the UK.
It will be in the for sale section when I get all the details ...

Is it the one with Toyota MR2 headlights? That was certainly red and looked very similar, from memory?

I don't think so - all I remember is the owner saying it was a lot of trouble and he probably wouldn't have done it if he'd known. I agree it looks good though. :)

Having said that, bearing in mind that it's a complete rework, unless you're desperate to retain pop-ups, arguably something like Pete Silcock's non-moving projector light conversion is perhaps a better bet?

Well I'm not desperate to retain pop-ups, but do think this looks so much nicer than original.
I did a similar (major) project on my Elan +2 years ago, making own pods with 2x 5.75 in lights both sides (one dipping right, other dipping left, and all 4 beans available together if wished!) moved by door-stop mechanism to prevent wobble...
Have a set of nice s13 twin projector moulds for the Project car (like Viv White did on his sabre) if I ever get that far.

That's the one Roger, what year is that photo?
So it is unique, and a great improvement on the standard headlights in my view.
Still waiting for details but it is in good condition and comes with a spares car just in case.
For 4 500 euros it sounds a bargain.

It's old........ The thread where I found it again just now was this one, which dates from 2011 (now archived). But that photo-posting was in itself a photo trawled from the dark recesses of my hard drive, it goes back some time (maybe years) before that, I think?

eBay circa 2008 at a guess. Had mirror polished KN Michelotti design wheels at the time and black leather seats (MR2?)

Currently wearing these, I think he swapped from the spares car.
All wheels in good condition.

Those are polished KN Michelotti Design Wheels :-)

It had a huge spoiler on the boot in the “after” pics I have?

Is it the one with the sabre headlight panel on eBay a while back from Banbury ?

Are you sure that was the same car? I remember a red one with a big spoiler, but that also had rounded arches and a few other styling changes, but AFAIR had standard headlights?

Perhaps that's why the spoiler was removed 8)
