Might have a Engine coming this weekend... Anyone has any idea where to get the wiring diagram for the kitten? I think I have part of it missing (ie battery connections). Another question, is there anyone that can cut me a key for the ignition and doors using the barrel to do it? The previous owner couldnt find them...

I can definitely confirm you won't need a servo so long as your standard master cylinder is in good nick - I've driven a tempest with disks and no servo and the braking was very impressive - certainly your able to lock the wheels if you really want to  I've heard that the MOT man was so impressed by the efficiency of the setup that he couldn't believe that the fiesta/polo combo didn't have a servo !

The door locks use the old Union FS type of keys - I think (not sure though) there is a number on the lock barrel that tells you - you could then get a suitable key cut.

The ignition key is a bit more problematic - it may be easier to replace the whole lock - do you have the kind that is attached to the steering column or one of the ones set on a small panel ?

The kitten wiring diagram would fit on the back of a fag packet :-)

There is a Haynes manual on the Robin and Kitten, including a circuit diagram. They often come up on Ebay.

Its the one on the steering column. Looks similar to the one on the Scimitar.

And they are not too expensive... Will get me one as soon as the other half approves (need to fill the forms and all that)

I think they are same as the scimitar kind - but not absolutely sure. I think it may well be easier and cheaper to replace the lock (my spare ignition key cost £10 to get cut) - best to talk to James at chgperformance (I think he's on here using that username) as he should have a few around.

yeah, will replace the ignition and will try to salvage the door ones as its a simple key to get cut.

I had some keys cut for a pair NOS Range Rover Classic door handles I bought on eBay (for a GTC). They came without keys, which meant they were mega cheap. Expecting to have to buy new lock barrels, I took them down to my local lock smith. But he had a tool for reading the tumblers and quickly cut me a pair of keys to fit, for about £15.

That would be great if I could find somebody here that does the same job.
