Yep, that's all I can do Phil - the back won't be as high as the front, and I'm a bit nervous as to how stable it will be, as being in gear / handbrake won't have an effect.

I could ratchet strap the front wheels to the ramps... or maybe i'm just overthinking it?

Axle stands?
That's what I use. Drive front of car up on ramps, stick jack under diff. and jack up, then put axle stands under both sides of axle at full hight.

If you've got decent axle stands (and actually put them under the axle, by the shocker mount) and the front wheels aren't going to move if in ramps, you'll be fine. Ran my 5a up to about 50mph with the whole car on 4 axle stands.

Terry replied whilst I was typing this - and this is exactly how I've always done it on all sorts of cars.

Agreed - I've done the same when using conventional ramps (although not 50 Mph, lol). However, the red ramps with the hydraulic lift I posted a pic of don't allow the front tyres to 'drop in' and will make the front higher than the rear.

A couple of beefy ratchet straps over the front wheels should see me ok I reckon.

Cheers,

Mike.
