GTC interior lights

Post by ard126k » Thu Mar 26, 2020 3:43 pm

The GTC's interior light has always been a bit slow to come on when I open the door. Now it doesn't come on at all. The lights in the doors work as expected so the door switches must be OK. The interior and map lights come on according to the position of the roof switch so bulbs must be OK. I suspect the delay unit must have gone to meet its maker?

Alex.

Sounds like it - there’s a thread on here about it (NLA IIRC).

Hi Alex,
You can still get the original replacement delay unit, I got mine from the US, about £45.00 with delivery, if you need any further info, let me know, there may be a delay now with the current situation.

Thanks Rob but it turned out to be an easy fix, I just unplugged/replugged the delay unit! :D Still slow to come on though but I'll survive.
Good thing too, I wouldn't pay £45 for the luxury of delayed lighting. Sounds like a nice little earner for an electronics wizard.

Alex.
