Dgas swop

Post by Geraint SabreGTCse5 » Fri Feb 17, 2017 4:55 pm

the Pierburg carb on my gtc project has damage to the casing which is visible now i have cleaned it up. i have a fairly new dgas on the shelf so thought i would use that and then it would be the same as my other cologne engined scims. Having looked at three engines fitted with the dgas there are different sized spacers underneath the carb varying from 10mm to about 4mm. Does it matter what size they are? is there a correct size?

i believe the jets are a different size anyone know what size they should b for the 2.8?

thanks

From memory mine was about 4mm - the biggest problem was finding a air filter and in the end I had to go with a K&N as the spacer to convert from Pierburg to Weber was too thick causing the housing to hit the bonnet.
