yes, my computer at work logs me off all the time - because the network won't allow me to store cookies.

Despite what Microsoft might seem to think, IE is probably the least compliant to the general standards of the internet, I gather...and the one browser that gave Ian the greatest issues in terms of compliance when we were testing the site/forum over 10 years ago.

So, as Tom’s phone seems to be mirroring your fault, what OS version are you using? (Safari is updated with the OS on iPhones). There’s a few threads on the phpBB forums.

Hmm, that’s a few months old - I’m on 11.2.6 and there was a 11.2.5 too, with a major release (11.3) in beta testing now and due out imminently. I can’t see anything specific in the fixes but it won’t hurt to update if your phone supports it?

I’m wary of updates to be honest
My iPhone 6 was fine last year until I carried out and update and then my battery was destroyed
So a few weeks ago I had a new battery fitted by Apple and that’s the OS I have as a result of the store installing it

There have been a couple of updates that hit battery power but I haven't read about one actually killing the battery
I checked the 11.2.6 reviews and the beta test said battery was affected but the release review said it was fixed.
Lots of people don't update their phones as soon as an update is released just in case there's problems, but you shouldn't be two updates behind.

Afternoon,
Well after a few days of scratching my head as well as other body parts I am still a little miffed,
My Xperia Z5 premium running a slightly modified android 7.1.1 as well as chrome v65 will kick me out after 10 mins even with "stay logged in ticked"
Although Steve I believe I have found a work around for our mutual differing OS problem
Downloading Opera Web browser
Seems to be working for me so far.

Hear the one about apple knobbling their "outdated phones" as a cheap tactic to get people to upgrade?

today I had to log into both my phone and pc all within a short space of time. ( 30 mins )
Is the site "timing out " log in entries to cleanse itself by any chance ?
Forum engineer input maybe please ?
