I've just tried it with a bunch of 8 images (all around 1.5-2MB)

I'm using Chrome as well but to be fair, I'm at work on a very quick conncetion (they all uploaded within 10 seconds)

Oddly - I didn't place any of the uploaded images "Inline" but they're still here.

I have been experimenting further and now learned ;

Some pictures I have uploaded were taken with a digital camera, others with an Ipad. Only the pictures taken with the Ipad load successfully, strangely the others do not. Is this a known issue ?

Depends on the file type - are the camera ones in RAW format per chance?

Allowable file types are:

GIF
JPG
JPEG
PNG
TGA
TIF

Any others aren't supported currently (that probably includes TIFF - I'm not sure what the difference is or may be).

You don't *have* to place the images inline - if you do it gives you the advantage of choosing which one goes where, and which order they go in, and they look better, without a border, otherwise, if not placed inline, they all come out at the end of the note, in the order they uploaded, and with a border.

Perhaps it might be interesting to know what happens if someone submits a note, with jpeg images that have been uploaded, but for which the "inline" button hasn't appeared, to see what happens? :)

On my pic-laden response earlier, only the scereenshot was "placed inline"; the others were uploaded (drag and drop into the reply box) but not placed inline.

Yes, that's what I'd expect to happen in those circumstances. What I was wondering is, if the ohotos didn't have the inline button, would they still appear also? :)

I've had the same problems with some JPG photos, all from my Motorola phone, uploading with the Add Inline option, and some updating but only showing Delete. It's on Win10 using Chrome.

A work around is to open the pic in Google Picasa (if you have it, another program would no doubt work too) then resave it as a JPG again under a new filename. Uploads fine after that. I can only think it's some odd file type/metadata issue?

As just posted elsewhere, I tried to load two jpg's.
One drag-and-dropped ok.
The other didn't work even when I renamed it.
I finally resized and re-saved it and then it loaded.

Still no cigar!

All the photos I have tried to post are in JPEG format and all on the same computer. I have tried umpteen times to load (as explained several times on this post), but always only the pictures taken with the Ipad get the inline button, the pictures taken with a digital camera do not. Try as I might, pictures that do not get an inline button refuse to show in Preview as has been suggested.

I have also dragged several pictures into dialogue box; all show up on the file box, but upon checking in Preview (after some time waiting) only the ones taken by the Ipad ( and get the inline button) show up in the preview box.

It does sound like a metadata problem. Victor, can you email one of the pictures that won't upload, to me at 565king@gmail.com please.

Most strange! Absolutely no problems adding it.
