I have added effectively the same fix to our forum. Photobucket images are now visible. I'm sure it won't last forever. I'm still working on using the local copies I have downloaded for future security, but its rather complex and time consuming.

Ian,

Thank you kindly for making images appear again; this gives me greater incentive to continue writing about progress on my Coupe build.

It is just not the same without pictures, and as the saying goes a picture is worth a thousand words!

Victor

I agree picture are the key to progress but keep building and we will enjoy your pictures when they next appear. However the new drag and drop scheme is very good.

I am yet to get fully accustomed to the recent upgrade; can someone please enlighten me if it is possible to upload a short video onto the forum?

Videos aren't catered for, Victor.

Using YouTube is pretty easy though?

It appears that Google have launched an add-on to chrome to automatically fix PB links.

Ok I'm being a biff, how do I get this fix to work. I've tried and failed.

In my threads it has just worked maybe due to Webmasters actions. Try a screen refresh in your thread if photos don't show

Thank you. The photos are now showing, if that's something I did or Ian's work in the back ground I don't know. either way its a result I rely on my project thread to remind me what I was doing :w

Not long by the look of it  I've just had a look at my project thread and my pics are there on page 1 :hurrah: Just as a check that they were ALL there I went to the end, page 89, pics NOT there  Tried somewhere in the middle....not there! Went back to page 1 and they've gone, not there, disappeared. What the ...........!!!

Just left the site, then returned and page 1 pics are there again, go off page and then return, they're gone!!!!
Seems they only last a few seconds for me before returning to the PB warning

Press refresh Geoff, the photos will appear (although there aren't any pictures on the last few pages of your project thread :D )

Thanks Jim, that works. :hurrah: Bit of a faff, but folks can now access the pics, including me. Although I did save all my pics onto the hard drive of my laptop, just didn't fancy them being stored permanently on a third party's site. Unusually foresightful (?) of me as it turned out

It's a temporary fix Geoff. Ian is still working on a script to replace the PB link in every single post with a new address (to the same pic but hosted on scimitarweb). Unfortunately he told me at Curbs that he was mid way through a scheduled upgrade on the club shop when PB threw a spanner in the works, so he still has to finish that too!!
