Made a last-minute viewing this afternoon.

History. Car owned by previous owner for 30 years, stored in his garage all this time. Current owner has had it 7 months, during which time it's been stored in a barn on a local farm.

Body showing usual signs of age: crazing at front of bonnet, and chips out of paint throughout. Bumpers pretty good and solid, with a bit of tarnish on rear. Front overriders very good. Bumper brackets pretty rusty all round, with one at rear rusted through. Rear number plate light is loose.

Underside looks good and solid, including sills. Looks like its been protected at some point, perhaps Waxoyled. Fuel tank also looked in great condition (what could be seen). Nearside front outrigger a bit bent, but strong. Half of offside front outrigger missing!

Interior untidy and mouldy. Carpets not great, but may clean up. Interior of webasto sunroof looked good. Previous owner had supposedly got it renovated at cost of £1000. Driver's seat has rip in base, and big chunk missing from bolster. Owner said he has some spare seats.

Under bonnet looking as you'd expect for a car that's sat so long. Does have a replacement fuse box, another change made by the previous owner. (Not modern spade type, though.) Battery tray good and strong. Engine started OK and sounded smooth. There was a touch of blue smoke coming out the back, though. Car comes with reconditioned heads with new valve stem seals, though owner couldn't confirm if strengthened seals for unleaded.

Genuine Wolfrace wheels, in OK condition - a few dings on each.

Owner said he could deliver locally, but no long-distance delivery.

Amazing Pete! Thanks a million!

How do you define "Half of offside front outrigger missing!" Though!?!?!

In the end, we all get parted out.

The one not fitted, presumably the spare, looks to be a standard 6x14, the fitted ones (based on the one you've shown up close), are the less-common 7x14

If you can weld, outriggers and side rails are around a 2 or 3.

Rare (and nice dish) but I don't like the chunks that are missing out of them and the huge weights some muppet has attached to the outer rims!

Not necessarily, winner may have set a higher max bid. Unlucky though.

Wonder who bought it.

Gar Davies on the facebook group was asking about any SE5/a in Scotland that fit that description. Hope it gets a good home. Maybe the next one I see will be closer, that'd be nice.

Agreed - the years have not been kind to them. As one would expect, the tyre shown is scrap (and the others presumably the same).
