Heathrow airport long stay parking

Post by AJL Electronics » Sat Jan 09, 2016 10:44 pm

'Indoors and two others are off to Canada in May for a fortnight. They have booked a coach outbound but are trying to work out the best return method. Everything I have tried is very expensive, even the coach is £30 each one way. Trains don't run after about 22:00 on a Saturday, so even if it was affordable (£45 each) it isn't any good.

My next thought was that they could drive and park both ways, but cheapest parking off site is £65.00

I seem to remember a discussion about this some time ago and someone suggested that they had parking available for Heathrow at a reasonable rate?

Long time since I've been out of Heathrow because it's so expensive by comparison (last time was going to Canada and we overnighted at a travelodge on the M4 and parked in Heathrow long term for two weeks) - we've stayed several times at the travelodge in Gatwick for £39 per night - normally get a train there but we're taking the car next week when we go to Italy and on site long term parking is £35 for the week.

I think this is probably the chap you had in mind?. Though he doesn't seem to have logged-in for quite some time, so what his current status is, I don't know?

we found that a night in a hotel, and 2 weeks free parking was better than any alternative,

unless someone drives them there and collects after 2 weeks,

I've taken a vow of poverty ...... Annoy me by sending me money!!
