Hi, does anyone in the Redruth, Cornwall area know anything about a brown 6a being offered for sale on carandclassic.co.uk reg APG350T? My biggest problem is that it is 333 miles away from me. Perhaps someone local might be able to assist me in this purchase.

The last 3 cars I've purchased have been 5,500 miles & 2 oceans away!

Thanks for that observation Darren. In the last 2 years, I have bought 3 classics (unseen) and in each case driven them home in excess of 100 miles without reservation but age is taking its' toll and I now find I can drive only short distances so the 350 mile drive home was out of the question. I am currently running around in an old automatic MX5 until I can get my hands on an automatic 6a to replace the one I sold exactly a year ago (and regretted every minute)

No problem Stu,

It was your choice of the defeatist word "insurmountable" for a car only 300 miles away that tickled me.

There's always ways around things, (friends, transport companies etc) after all I didn't personally row the boat over 2 oceans to bring my cars home

Good luck with your search
