You can have a GTE with a GTC body and it shouldn’t affect the title to the current registration of the GTE

If it’s a GTC chassis with a donor front half of a GTE body, GTE engine and gearbox then it’s still a GTC according to DVLA.

Not having the original engine or transmission will lose more points but probably not enough to cause an issue with identity?

Never try and argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level, then beat you based on experience.

Well you can reshell an mgb or a mini with a heritage item and still retain its original identity..so it makes sense...as it is using a factory part...I dunno I just thought thay as it's technically a model change that them good ol pains in the plums over st Swansea would hitch their corsets up a notch or two tighter and have a hissy fit....let's be fair they've done it for a lot less modifications to a vehicle before...

He says in the ad that the chassis is the GTE?

ah yes he does, but when I asked him to confirm which chassis is being used he said it was the GTC chassis........ I was looking for some of the rarer GTC bits but unfortunately this car hasn't got any.

I think I'd definitely want more clarity before I'd spend any money. A rebuilt GTC on a GTC chassis, is a vastly different thing from a rebuilt "GTC" on a GTE chassis.....
