Well it went for well over my budget which is something of a relief, If it had ended at £700 i'd have been kicking myself a bit!
Be interested to see if the new owner makes themselves known on here.

It doesn’t prevent you from looking at finished listings, it’s a recent change that takes you to a live listing - that it thinks is similar (which often isn’t remotely similar!).

If you press the hyperlinked word “listing” when it says “The listing you’re looking for is no longer available. Check out this similar item we found for you.” It will take you back to the original item.

Guess I will have to wait a little longer to tick the final Small Sports "SST box" in my ownership list.

Pleasantly surprised with how the bidding went yesterday. A very positive indication that the prices of Small Sports are waking up, and it's very true what Craig said, we'll all realise their true value when it's too late.

Hope we see the new owner on here if they are not already among our ranks, be interesting to follow the progress of this one and know more about it. For instance, it's not the only mono-body SS that I have encountered that is half lacquered and I wonder if this was done at the factory or dealership for some reason - paint correction etc?

Now, can well all please agree to stop selling them too cheap and breaking them up willy-nilly?!

I dont mean to sound pessimistic but I would not be surprised to see that re-listed shortly.

After a bit of a scrub up, with the fuel leak fixed, and it running on the key. That's exactly what I was intending

No I meant more in terms of someone will turn up see the state its in and walk away again, I doubt they had seen the damaged presented here before bidding.

My mate has bought it.
He was impressed at how mine shifted on a run up to Scotland and no one could keep up with me.
He has resurrected quite a few cars but never a fibreglass one.

I was prepared to bid on it until he told me he was after it.
global2000 could you please send me the pictures that you took on your visit??

Thanks Mark

My mate has got it into his garage now for a better look.

Can anyone throw any more information at us on this Dog?.
A new fuel pump has not done any good, and the ecu is not winking at all.
I will keep an update as work progresses as my mate is not a member nor a contributor.
Mark

I've moved the thread to "Project Progress" to stop it getting lost and preserve continuity :)

Few weekends work.

I suppose the difference is, someone like me has racks full of the right parts. Where as buying all the bits to make good outright would potentially be a costly exercise.

Still. That bluebird turbo engine is begging for a big top mount turbo.

Would make a fantastic track car....

A few weekends lol

It was once I got started on it Simon! The siezed turbo and rotten wishbones for unexpected stumbling blocks but soon resolved.

As for where to start with this one Mark. Clean up the contacts in the fuse box and check / replace the additional relays on the inner wing near master cylinder. 10 years of non dry storage is probably going to result in a lot of electrical gremlins.
