I wondered why you'd posted it in the MB section but clicking on the advert I see why..moved to the "Ebay and other Sales Links" section.

It's all a bit rough though. I have one in my compound that is similar, although somebody has butchered the chassis to fit Granada steering gear so it will never go back on the road.

Oops. Clicked when I should have scrolled.
Seems a lot of work has gone into it in the past though with the engine. I wonder how long it has been just sitting there.

Looking at the engine bay I would deffo say Galve chassis as the top suspension turret support bar is galved.

All my galve chassis have this bar galved and it was left on when being dipped, I have spent hours trying to remove the bolts when engines needed to come out and you really need a gas axe to melt the galve :w

Might just have to find out whereabouts in Sheffield it is.

Often feel it is easier to hide the weeds in block paving with another car than it is to otherwise try and tackle them....

I'm not a suspicious sort by nature and have purchased many things off ebay including being reunited with my original 6a, but I will say this.....I hate adverts when they say 'advertised for a friend'. I believe that all this means is that the seller will deny any responsibility once the sale goes through. Harsh, but at least they are recommending buyer looks first.

Confirmed.

One could suggest it's more resilient than fencing, too. Less chance of it blowing away in the wind as well? Might make a handy water butt for the upcoming heatwave this year too?

went to see this having communicated with the seller who was selling it for a chap with no internet or interest in technology...... I question whether the seller had ever seen it as the actual questions I asked the "lister" answered ....well to put it politely incorrectly.... I have had enough of descriptions being poles apart from reality so it was a thanks but no thanks I'm off.
the owner was quick to renegotiate and somehow its here......

I had a 2.9 in a GTC some time ago done by denpart and I loved it... this one may have been done by Graham Walker from the saturated paperwork in the boot.

the car does have some interesting bits, the 2.9 install is tidier than the GTC don't know whether its a runner yet, galve chassis that has suffered a little in places but only surface rust

wasn't a good sign when a rat jumped out of the tailgate when I arrived, so the leather interior is a little like Swiss cheese. passenger door won't open and the bonnet hinges are seized and have been forced, looks like the steering wheel would not come off so lets just smash it to bits! :D

what was nice are the middlebrige alloys which will need a refurb.... getting them off with no locking nut key in sight was a challenge! some one has made the middle bridge centre caps out of alloy. they have made stainless wheel nuts and tapped the tops to hold the caps in place .... done a nice job too to be fair.

I don't know what my plans are for it yet nearly finished a c and there are a few waiting for a makeover :D
