I am told that the autos are more desirable - I have auto but not selling it for a long while I hope - its only done 307,000miles. The 4 speed auto box is so much better than the 3 speed in the Reliant models. Try contacting Mick G or Will A in the Middlebridge site for cars available http://www.middlebridge-scimitar.co.uk/

Alan,

Drop me an email at middlebridge.registrar@rssoc.co.uk. I am at Silverstone this weekend and will be able to chat with the others about what cars are coming to the market. An idea of your budget would be helpful. I know of 2 cars but they are at the upper end of MB valuations. There might be another two in mid range - one is blue but it's auto. There is a blue manual with a beige interior but not sure when it is coming to the market yet. None are being actively marketed at the moment.

Regards

Will

Sadly I can't come to Silverstone, but MB61 is on the road. I'd be interested to know how many others are currently taxed and MoT'd. There are around 50 NOT going to Silverstone, but hopefully they're not *all* sitting decaying in long-forgotten barns... Will ?

Also mildly curious to know how many are blue - I'm afraid the "all-blue, inside and out" GTEs (6As were they?) rather put me off blue cars - of any type. But blue does seem to be disproportionately popular in MB circles, and I don't undertand why as in the world at large blue has never really been popular at all, aiui. The only blue car I've ever had was an Escort in 1985, brand new, and I could only afford it due to a massive discount from the dealer who said he had to drop the price as "nobody likes blue" and he'd had it unsold for nearly 6 months.

The Miidlebridge/Jag blue is lovely - should have light leather interior with it though IMO. The 6/6a blue interior didn’t wear well, late 6a and 6b seat material was much better.
