Brown side panels for centre console
Hi everyone,
A previous owner has cut into the side panels of the centre console on my SE6a, and installed extra speakers there.
I now want to return it to stock. Any chance that someone might have a set of brown side panels for the SE6 centre console which I could purchase.
Must be in good, clean condition without any rips to the brown vinyl.
Please contact me on: ab@viaretro.co.uk

There is no point trying to teach a pig to sing. It doesn't work and it annoys the pig.

I would probably say it's more tan than it's chocolate, but you tell me...?

Yes, that is the Tan. I will have a look in my bits, but not confident I have any. As a long shot, you could use Vinylkote to recolour any that you can find.

Yes, Vinylkote could of course be an option too. Though would of course much rather find one in the right colour.

One some cars, the side cheeks are separate items, others seem to be bonded to the sub panel like yours.

Gents, to be honest I'm not even sure whether my current centre console is the bonded type or whether it consists of separate items.
Is there a way in which I can easily check - without disassembling the whole thing?
And more to the point, let's say mine consists of separate parts, is there any reason why I couldn't just fit a bonded centre console instead, if Erik would be kind enough to sell me his?
What I'm asking is, once the centre console is in place, is there any visual difference between the two types of consoles?
Thx for all your help Gents...

there are no visible differences when in place, the complete fibre glass ones I find more rigid. The later three piece ones allow easier access to the gauges as the sides can be easily removed, the sides tend to be plastic. I have several rigid style and a couple of three piece ones BUT you wanted excellent ones and unfortunately they have damage around the mounting screws and where the 6da is mounted. I would buy tan vinyl and recover the one you have, which is a straightforward job.
