Se6 passenger door possibly full bodyshell

Post by Haggisbiker » Thu May 16, 2019 7:32 am

Firstly I am up in Scotland near Dufftown so hopefully looking to find something relatively close to keep transport costs down.

I need a passenger door for a 1977 Se6, however due to wanting to make a mould for a lightweight flip / lift off front end would consider a complete bodyshell to play around with.

Please let me know what you have and whereabouts you are and hopefully I can at least find a door!

Thanks,
Alex.

I forgot to mention when you visited for the wheels, but there is a guy near Lanark that I got some bits from a few years ago. On eBay he is drammyboy - think he might have been on here too.

He had loads of Scimitar bodies and chassis and has recently been selling off everything. He may still have a Scimitar body or parts of about the place.

I have a 6a that is being taken apart. Not sure of transport cost but tends to be around £2 per mile, lower for a return load.

Mick, Drammyboy has sold all his bodyshells and has no doors however he has given me a name of a chap who originally built Purple Haze a chap called Stan Johnstone from Edinburgh, hopefully I can track him down and pick his brains!

Eric plan to be over in the Netherlands at Xmas, I could certainly get a door in my Jeep but the body may be just a bit big for me to fit on the roof rack! :D

AJL drop me PM of what price you have in mind for a door and I can see what costs a courier would be, £2 a mile for the 505 miles puts it at £1010 with a complete local car at £1200 but think the wife is at her wit's end with all the cars, bikes and tractors around the place...starting to look like a scrap yard!

Thanks all I have been to see Jeff today and he's a star, sorted what I need, just need to move around my "project pile" or as the wife says "scrap pile" to make a little more room!
