Worth noting that they aren't specific to the Ti, so any Small Sports trailing arms will do the job.

I repaired mine using a board to make a template of the shape and bought tubes to replace the damaged ones making sure that I filled in the ends of the tubes to stop water getting in. Note that they are the same side to side apart from the shocker mounts being 180deg out. QRG may well have some 2nd hand ones.

And the height of the ARB mounting thread is handed also.

never spotted that, probably as I just drilled the hole about the same place in both the items I made!!! that way they were at same distance from the ARB

and now I think about it they are at bottom edge!! but as mine have nuts (not Captive) then all was good

Nigel bought one from me a while back so unless he’s found some it’s second hand or we need to think about remanufacture. I have some but really won’t have time to check them over for at least a fortnight.

There are a few bits that I can repair or possibly remake, I haven't got to the rear of the SS1 yet but I have had a good look at lots of photos of the trailing arms. The first thing I was intending to do was remake some of the hood stiffeners (if anyone can lend me a pair I can do it quite quickly!?). Obviously, there are people on here that have been modifying and supplying parts for ages and I wouldn't want to step on anyone's toes. But if I can help (I should say that I'm a blacksmith with about 27 years of metal working experience) to keep the cars on the road or assist people on here, I will try to.

I found a pair of hood stiffeners the other day - will see if I can find them tomorrow.

If you do Jim, can I either buy them or pay for postage and copy them and return? I'll make a few spares and then if anyone wants some... :)

I almost ertainly have a scrap one you could have to copy. I’m sure GW/QRG would be interested if you could remanufacture them at a reasonable price.

The main issue is the relatively complex folding on the main part of the arm, seems a little unnecessary but it might be explained when I scrutinise the layout of the entire assembly.

Trailing arms can be any design, box section, tublar or fancy folded doesn't matter. So long as the mounts, hub plate and damper mounts are in the right place the rest is immaterial. To be honest there are a few mods that could be introduced to improve strength and longevity if you do proceed with remamufacture

I would imagine it would be easier to make one fully tubular with the exception of the hub mount obviously

Yeah, it has been done, walkers sabre racer had arms made up of various small diameter tubes and had a few driveshaft failures, probably down to flexing. The loads are sizable so needs to be beefy. Look at images of autograss trailing arms and Z Cars Mini arms for inspiration
