I'm missing one of the heater control sliders. I know it's a tiny part, but I'm happy to pay if you can be bothered posting it.

It's 'knob assembly, heater control', labelled number 34 in this diagram: www.grahamwalkerparts.co.uk/SE5%205A%20heater%20.htm

Thanks
Tom

SE5a will be a 4HA - you need a coupe 7HA axle, or a very rare 7HA from one of the first 500 SE5 (if you need the wider version or you’re going to modify it anyway) for your Lotus.

Would be interested in the battery +ve cable (from terminal to starter via a terminal block?) if you have it.

If the tubular manifolds are still in one piece I would be interested in them! And in the center console? Possibly seats and all the dials? Just let me know what condition they are in!

Thanks Jim. How rare are the coupe diffs? It's only the aluminium cover that I want.

If it is diff parts you need, then perhaps JB Sports can help, as I believe some Morgans had the 7HA axle.
Have you tried them?

Good luck.

A rebuilt axle was for sale earlier this year for £350 (I thought that was a bargain) - can’t remember the last time I saw one for sale before that? One of the serial coupe hoarders may have spares?

I resemble that remark and I did buy the axle to which you refer..... but I'm not sure I'd say I was a "serial coupe hoarder".

I buy and retrieve cars, bodies without chassis and vice-versa, from fields and barns in far flung corners and abroad. Especially when I feel it might end up as the basis for a kit car. When I sell on, I aim to ensure the package is more complete than it was, with a repaired chassis that the owner can start from. I currently don't have any spare diff covers from a 7HA and all other axles are allocated to cars at the moment.

Thanks for the link Philip! I spoke to JB engineering today and his opinion was that the aluminium cover would not add much strength to the diff as it isn't dowelled in place. I shall continue with my steel "girdle" that locates in the "spreader" holes.

Thanks

Pete
