Essex alloy timing gear

Post by scimjim » Fri Feb 12, 2016 10:45 am

Following the success of the last group buy (details here), we're ready to put together another one :D

Same details as before - post your requirements in this thread and I'll collate orders, preference to Scimitar owners if there's too much demand, no money up front and I'll organise postage within UK when they arrive.

As you can see from the last batch, aim for delivery in around 6 months and you may be pleasantly surprised - hopefully they'll be here before the Curborough Sporting Weekend :D

Price will be as per last time - £120 + P&P (which was £10 for UK mainland thanks to RR having a Parcel Force account :D )

If you add your name to the list, please bookmark this thread, then the forum will let you know when there are any updates. Apologies for moving the original thread but I think it's better placed here?

I have a SE5a engine on the garage floor and partially stripped at the moment. Wasn't sure what to do about the gear as I don't want to trust the expensive rebuild to the old timing gear (assuming it is fibre - I haven't checked) and the QRG one I bought last time was a touch expensive (see previous thread). That is a long way of saying put me down for one.

Cheers, Andy

Jim,

I would like to reserve one. I have no record of one being fitted, So I must assume that it has not.

Cheers

I'm tempted to buy one and put it into stock even though I don't have a GTE! Some day the perfect SE5 will come up at the right time.

If you would like me to dispatch again Jim, that would be no problem, might be through UKMail this time as we are considering a courier switch.
