Yes Phil, tbh with the front of the car completely removed it makes the job easy. My garage door is one of those sectional inward opening jobbies so I haven’t got loads of head room with it open, I wouldn’t of been able to raise the crane high enough to get the dangle angle to get the engine out over the nose etc

Rebuilding started run into a few problems new poly engine mounts mean engine is a bit higher than when on the original mounts...

Front crossmember fowls on treble front pulley and exhaust down pipe which was already rubbing on the chassis now too short.

New down pipe being made next week.

Wanted add on forum for a front Auxiliary belt pulley

those mounts look much thicker than the ones I bought, if your making a new downpipe you might aswell chuck a T25 on it :twisted:

Yes the mounts are 44mm tall and looking at the old mounts they are 35mm ffs

Regarding the mounts, i ran ford ones with 8mm fibre spacer plate to get engine to oem position,

Not yet but I have the broken one stripped to trial.

I was thinking to turn 2x bar threaded at one end fit to the front armature and the bit that goes on the motor crank would fit on the other end of the bar.

Just need to think of a quick release etc

Other option could be to strip the guts of the motor...
