Peter's SS1 Sprint Car

With the actuator in its closed position, are you sure that the wastegate is firmly closed ? Also have you tried opening and closing the wastegate by pressurising/depress' the actuator ? (I used a garden sprayer that is fitted with a pressure gauge to do this).

I have had similar problems caused by the wastegate opening too early or not closing properly, and at the other end of the spectrum have had mahoosive chunks of boost because the wastegate wasn't opening at all.

What actuator is that? Looks like a new one with a TT rod end on it.

What was the power? Not just a gauge problem?

Actuator and rod as reconditioned by TT. Using a pump the actuator opened at about 12 psi, so approx 0.75 bar. The wastegate side of things seemed to be working OK. Thanks for the comments.

OK I have a valid MOT! No issues found with the exhaust so I am at a loss as to where the boost has gone! I will be at Curborough Saturday for the test day. Anyone that wants to stick their head under my bonnet would be very welcome :)
I will probably also compete on Sunday just for the experience.
