Do you have any pictures of the oil filter plate at the block end?
I'm running a remote oil filter with oil to air cooler, so nothing like standard.

Just using a take off plate like this (with cap as well):

Yeah, sorry. I thought I should do a separate race meeting thread, but yes, blown head gasket in qualifying. My woeful start with racing the SS1 continued...

The car is now tucked away in my garage, I won't be looking at it for a month or two, as I have other things that need doing.

To be fair to old Go-Faster Gough (thats tough to write... ) the car and pilot did pretty good in qually, 11th was recorded from 26 starters iirc. He joked he started at the bottom of the time sheets when checking, and found himself a long way up! Probably 10+ of the cara in the race had in excess of 500hp so didnt do so bad ;-)

Its pretty much uncharted territory for a small scim to circuit race, not the well trodden path for spribts and hills, so i think hes done rather well!

Just dont tell him i said that...

As I suggested, nothing has happened to my SS1 yet, but on Sunday, I belatedly put some old wheels & tyre on it for the winter, so the race slicks could be packed away in the dark, without wight on them. The rear wheel / tyre combo is very similar diameter to the racing slick, but the fronts are much bigger, so here's an indication of the effect of tyre choice on ride height, you can see the chassis has a bigger gap to the ground at the front.

Other than that, November has mostly been characterised me cultivating a moo-stache, as I got dragged in to Movember with work. So here’s me in my work attire!

It’s for amusement value, but should anyone like to donate any amount I would be very grateful, if not, just have a chuckle at my expense. My Movember page is:

I've installed some fancy new 360 degree interior mirror extenders to the car today, they look like they should work a treat!
