I’ve been working though all the jobs

Fitting pins for boot lid, the rear light panel if flatted for painting

The LH rear wing came back off the wall, got patched up & re-used. The cracks were glued with bumper epoxy glue & backed with grp woven tape. I realised I didn’t have time to modify the replacement wing, as I had to prioritise modifications & adjustments to the rear suspension, as well as the re-assembly. The LH inner wheel arch was an easy patch up.

The car is ready to head to Brands Hatch on Sunday. Qually on the Sunday afternoon, then all being well, racing on Monday.

After - deck panel, boot lid, light panel, reat armature, LH rear light & rear section of chassis & one bonnet pin replaced. Deck panel & boot lid wrapped, rear light panel painted. The boot lid had a lot of micro blisters in the primer so I flatted it back & wrapped straight on to the gel-coat, we'll see how well it stays attached. LH rear wing patched, LH semi-trailing arm straightened, rear suspension modifications & adjustments. LH goodridge braided brake hose had the end trimmed (10mm) where it had been kinked & re-assembled with a new olive. Black marks from the tyre barrier removed as much as possible & a general pre-race check.

Got a message to say qually went ok, but water temps a bit high. Read elsewhere it was 34 deg at Brands! So prob explains it. Some suspension tweaks and car handling even better 8) Fingers crossed for both races today :)

I was wondering why there was no race results on TSL 🤔 Should’ve looked at the timetable!!

I was watching it on the live timing earlier, looks like Ben pitted early - hope everything’s ok.

It's hot!

I pulled in on the 1st race as the water temp went high.

I decided to try moving the water expansion tank higher. Richard Carter is here, so he gave me a hand & it was a bit of a rush to get out for the 2nd race.

2nd race was red flagged, on the re-start, it blew a boost pipe off. It was holding temp until then, but I hadn't done much.

The exhaust is getting smokey, I think a turbo seal might have gone. I'm going to check the bearings before deciding whether to give the 3rd race a go.

The handling feels ok, I was keeping with a group of cars in the 2nd race, but there are some mighty quick cars in Mod Sports, so plenty of room for development!
