Corky's Scimitars & S2K

It's finally done. The car runs straight and true, with no unexpected noises.

A bit of a frustrating day and I'm not exactly where I wanted to be with it, but it's ready for Curbs.

The first run round the block I found the steering wheel was off-centre. A quick check with my Trakrite showed it was 1.5 degrees tow in, a bit of fiddling later and I got it to 0 degrees.

Jobs to do after Curbs:-

Transfer the poly bushes from the damaged lower wishbone to the brand new replacement from TJ Motorsport (currently the new WB is on rubber bushes).
Transfer the 195/45/15 tyres onto the old alloys (as pictured) that I'll be using for the rest of the season. They have 50 profile on at the moment and I prefer the 45s. It turns out that the rear wheel I clobbered is actually out of true :( .
I found that one of the 22mm wheel cylinders was leaking. I only had 20mm on the shelf so have fitted those. The brakes don't feel as good as they were, but they'll do for now. I'll order some more 22mm and fit those before Blyton.

Good work Steve. The sill can be sorted another day. Mine's got a bit of a ding in the drivers sill where it looks like it's been ridden over a kerb or something (it was there when I bought it). It's on my list of things to fix at some point.

and an excellent repair job there, at DOUBLE quick speed, especially after the 'hammering' it looked to have taken

I guess that could/would been a 'write-off' in a road car?
