After some consideration, it's just quicker and probably cheaper to finish and upgrade this car rather than do a temporary fix on the Coupe.
I plan to replicate my 2005 RSSOC Championship winning 5a...
Following a quick inspection I found the following..
The engine is actually a better spec than that car and must have cost a lot to build; I'm not sure what the pistons are but I'm presuming Powermax or similar, it's +30 thou so a 3.1, crossdrilled and nitrided crank, fully balanced, Burton stage 2 heads with the fanciest ARP bolts I've ever seen!, Piper 285 cam, steel timing gear, non vac Motorcraft dizzy with electronic ignition, electric fuel pump and Holley 390 specced for this engine. It has new hoses throughout, a new rad with kenlowe fan and stainless water pipes.
The chassis is solid...everwhere!
The exhaust is a custom built stainless one which looks excellent quality and includes a very nice set of brand new 3 branch tubular headers

It's a 4 speed non-o/d car as my white one was and it has a close ratio gear set.
I presume the axle is standard, but I haven't checked yet. This will be swapped for a Quaife LSD.
All bushes other than the ARB to chassis mounts are good, trunnions look new, steering gaiters are new as are the track rod ends.
Front dampers are height and rate adjustable Spax with light surface rust only, and the rears are standard items which will need swapping along with all four springs.
Brakes look refurbished all around and will just need some decent front pads.
I'll also need to fit my spare race seat, harnesses, and a passenger seat as there's some modern leather seats fitted at the moment.
That pretty much covers the main items, and the rest is just cosmetic really. I need to set a target date to get this out and it needs to be well before Curborough!!
