It's going to be my new daily, Dave.
The plan was to buy a brand new car for a daily drive but insurance for both the ones I liked came out at around £2500 - nothing crazy either, a 1.2 Polo and an electric Renault Zoe. Then I started getting some other quotes and I can have a Ti insurance for around half that so it's a no brainier.

There's a few jobs to do but nothing drastic. The roll bar needs fitting and there's a blow from the exhaust somewhere but it's pretty much as it was a few years ago

I took it off the road before I went on my trip to Australia in November at the end of my "gap year" and got a job as soon as I came back !! Rubbish hours and I work every other weekend, but I enjoy the job, so I have no time to use the Ti. So the sensible thing to do was to sell to Josh.

You could have swapped it for a nice Jag!!!

Even like it is now, the Jag is worth more than a Scimitar

Re: Oaksey's Ti

Well, after being away since I got the Ti, it's MOT was today so I changed the brake pads, unseized a caliper piston, unseized the clutch and smeared the ball joint boots with silicone (replacements coming from GW tomorrow) so it passed. Quite a few advisories though so they'll be sorted soon.

My first legal drive in the car was pretty disappointing. It doesn't feel particularly quick tbh so some investigation is needed. There's lots of niggles that are already annoying me, including non self cancelling indicators, the exhaust blow, the tyres, the fuel warning light stays on even when the tanks full and the constantly running fuel pump.
The fuel pump is probably highest on the list so from looking at the wiring diagram, one wire comes from the ECU and one from the engine management. I think I'm being thick because I can't find I2, the fuel cut off. I'm guessing that the engine management is supposed to cut the feed when it knows there is sufficient fuel being delivered but I can't find any sort of pressure sensor on the diagram.
Ah well, at least it's taxed, MOTd and insured :)
