My alternator (17ACR) seems to have gone into reverse! Ignition light is on until I turn the ignition on then goes off, and when the engine starts the battery voltage goes down by about 1 volt. All suggestions welcome.
Alex.

Thanks. I'll get a repair kit and hope that fixes it.

Better than repining the low current alternator buy a one with a bigger output. 35 amps was never big enough go for 50 amps minimum
