Window felt scraper seals SE5 - Parts missing / Wanted ?

Here's the page from the Se5 parts list (note part 17 doesn't appear to have a "holder"). As compared to Jim's earlier post, which I suspect comes from the Se5a list???

I'm not an expert, but Isn't that the inner one, which is riveted to the carrier, which is then riveted to the top of the door card (ie, like Mark's second image)?

19 is what I photoed,
17 looks very much like the later SE6 type, but no reference to rivets so it possibly was evostuck

19 is an internal piece of folded steel on the SE5, its not the stainless steel piece on show in your picture. As I said earlier there aren't any on SE5 models as far as I'm aware.
17 is the outer weatherstrip
18 is the inner weatherstrip
Both are glued in. As David said earlier Stixall is an excellent choice for this

thanks chaps, although would have thought with the trim on the inner, and glueing in the outer, that from the outside the inner seal would be sat higher and be an eyesore ?

either way anyone got a pair of 19's that i can secure please ? looks like the way forward..............

windy... sorry your posting must have popped up, whilst i was writing my reply to the others.

that makes sense, what is the purpose of the folded steel, as that is not on mine ? can i ignore and crack on with the Stixall......... got it at lunchtime from toolstation !!

19 is the carrier for weatherstrip (18).

Might be worth double checking with a Coupe door diagram, because if they didn't have that folded steel strip I doubt if the early SE5 did either. I can't remember if mine has them or not, but it does have inner weatherstrips that match the outer ones. I'd hazard a guess that if the vinyl is wrapped over the window opening there is nothing solid for the weatherstrip to adhere to hence the steel strips

Some photos from my Coupe parts manual. Parts 65 and 71 are the ones of interest. Part 65 is descibed as a weatherstrip and 71 is a "backing plate, vent". "Vent" is Reliant-speak for the window frame.
On my SE4b (which was exactly as it left the factory when I got it), part 65 is the same as the one in my earlier post and part 71 is a t-shaped plastic trim to cover where the vinyl is folded over the door-top. Mind you, we all know that Reliant seemed to use whatever was to hand. :?

EDIT - Looking at the diagram again I suspect that the two items make up an external window seal which is similar to the one piece seal in my earlier post. If this is the case then there is no inner seal and this supports what I found in my car i.e. external seal glued in place rather than riveted and just a trim piece on the inside. I suspect the early SE5s were similar.
