SE5 chassis repair just arrived

I’d try and sleeve it internally.

To join the old and new tube, or just to repair?

I’d be surprised if The Metal Store don’t have the correct tube - they had decent thickness 1.5” square tube (that wasn’t the think junk used for table legs) when no one else did.

Just put new tube inside - the holes in the picture are very strange, there’s really thick metal surrounding them - it’s not the usual silk lattice.
