Clutch slave cylinder seized

Post by westofsouth » Wed Jan 24, 2018 11:43 am

Trying to move my SE5 (stored for many years in the back garden).
Gaining access to the slave cylinder looks very difficult.
Any suggestions?
It has a galvanised chassis fortunately.
Thanks

As an SE5, it should have had a 2 rod gearbox originally - which means the alloy slave cylinder is secured into the iron bellhousing and locked with a circlip. Best accessed from underneath but often seized in position.

With some fiddling , the seals can be changed in situ , just make sure the bore is not corroded or scored
