Great weekend at The Silverstone Classic this last weekend. We had 18 cars on the stand and had virtually an example from all ranges from a Sabre 6 to a Scimitar Sabre. Here's a few photos of the stand.....

Although at Silverstone with my Middlebridge, the display on the RSSOC stand was excellent with a good range of well turned out cars. Hopefully between the 2 stands we have managed to raise the profile and awareness of the Scimitar marque.

Returned home safely yesterday afternoon. Great weekend, and a big thank you from me to Kev for the hard work of organising things! :D Agree exeterhibby, hopefully it all goes towards raising the profile. More photos to follow when I've sorted them out.

Nice to meet up with you at long last Roger. Coming home in the MB was good as I took a slightly ( longer but quicker route ) no traffic jams. MPG was fantastic making 42 with the mileage on the clock or 39 when checking against the sat nav route mileage. I have 14" wolfs fitted to the car as my MB wheels have winter tyres on them but the difference between the sat nav and speedo was only 2mph at 70. A bit better than the trip down in the heat and jams where I recorded 29.65mpg. 99 Octane petrol for the return journey which helped as well.

I would echo that. I know Kevin's car is exceptional but the white 5 and 5a looked fantastic. A great turn out of all models and a credit to their owners.

Yes, it was good to see you and chat, Peter. Your MPG figure is very good - the more modern engine with injection probably helps? I'm afraid I'm less dedicated about working out exact MPG figures - after 36 years of ownership, it's a bit late to find out whether I can afford it!

Although it was still warm and sunny on Monday coming back, it was much better than the extreme heat of Thursday, though that was more of a trial for the driver than the car!
