Historic Rally cars at Gaydon

Post by MarkHawkins » Sat Jan 13, 2018 3:24 pm

The museum at Gaydon hosted a gathering of historic rally cars today. Entry was free and the weather was dry so OPJ had a run out. The only other Scimitar there was in the museum but there were a few Austin 1800s and one Maxi rally car along with some genuine Mini rally cars. There was a Metro 6R4 theme so these seemed to out number everything else. They had an engine on a stand - it looked like it would fit in a Scimitar nicely with a couple of things swapped around! The Cortina displayed next the 5a in the museum is approximately the same colour as HBL 725G.
