Cosford Breakfast Club Sun 7th Feb

Postby tommy_jobson » Wed Jan 13, 2010 1:03 am

This is a cracking event with a very wide variety of cars there, not to mention the planes!

I'm going to the next one on Sunday the 7th Feb, but as this is a club oriented event, and there appears to be a conglomoration of Scims in and around the Shropshire area, I thought it might be a good idea if a few of us could get together and represent the RSSOC (in scims of course) Max 10 cars per club, but I think they are flexible on this.

Have a look for yourselves:

I was based at RAF Cosford for 15months and I worked at the Breakfast Club Meet as a marshall. Its an excellent show with a great variety of cars-classic&modern. A lot of time and effort goes into organising it and all proceeds are donated to local charities. You have to be there early though (9 I think?) which makes it difficult for people who live far away to get there. I'll certainly go this year but I might not be able to make it in the Scim'.
Cheers, Alex.

Excellent, so there is hope for a few Scims parked together yet then
It is a great little meet. I'm making an Airfix TSR 2 and need to have a look at the real thing. Does anyone know if the 1:1 scale Airfix Spitfire James May made is still on display? Should be worth a look if it is  .
Cheers

Hi Tommy and all,

I doubt if there's time to organise a proper club stand this month, but I will try and get there on Sunday in my Scimitar. I went last year and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Cheers

Hi Dave,
Good news indeed :D
That means that so far there will be a minimum of two 6a's and your 5 in attendance, plus a few scimitar people not taking their scims. How about wedges anyone coming?

The green 6a's were me and my mate Jonathan. (VCL is mine)
It's a nice little show, only lasts an hour or so, so an early start is best for it, but I think the damp morning put a downer on it pretty quick this month. Nice to see a few fellow Scimitars though. I was looking on the website for the breakfast club, and there is a pic of a 5a that must have slipped in after we left. Anyone in the club?
Cheers
