Garage exhaust extract hoses

Post by drcdb15 » Fri Aug 10, 2018 5:38 pm

I'm sure this has been discussed before but blowed if I can find it...

I want to get some hoses so I can run the car in the garage without rapidly soaking everything in water and myself in carbon monoxide. Has anyone got either and off the shelf or a home brew solution to recommend please ? Thanks

I should add, I know about the Sealey kit available from Machine Mart etc, but I was thinking in terms of something more simple and cheap, like maybe just two hoses from the exhaust to the outside world.

Have you actually tried this ? I wondered if the small bore of this hose might just throttle the engine?

Yes, but just enough (2m) to get under the garage door and round the corner. No noticeable effect, but obviously a long length will increase back pressure.
