Just for info, the storage has been full, almost permanently, for about 4 years - with some short term cars coming in and out, winter storage and a few long term cars. The prices have been held static for the full 6 years we have been open and the club has made a small profit, in addition to saving quite a bit of money on exhibition equipment storage.

I don’t suppose I would be able to use the facility for a very short term to save a bit of faff while I move house? It’d be to store a trailer with my 5a shell on for a whole three days... from August 27th (Bank Holiday Monday) until Thurs 30th. :?:

If it's oversubscribed and prices have been held for 6 years, maybe time for a modest price increase?

The Club’s lease on the storage facility will expire on 31 August and we have been in negotiation with the landowner regarding the future. Following a meeting between the Chairman, the Club Sec, Chris Wise and myself, it’s been decided that a new company (Gloster Storage Solutions (GSS)) will be formed to manage the facility, with no links to the RSSOC.

Agreed Chris, it should have been reviewed at the 3 year point but unfortunately that didn’t happen.

All current customers have been informed but basically, the increased rent means that we are now forced to raise the prices. Additionally, as it is no longer a Club run asset, the Club discount will disappear.

New pricing structure will be released this week (to existing customers first).

Is it possible to go on a waiting list? I quite urgently need to find somewhere to store my Scimitar otherwise I'll have to sell it. It is currently being kept on the street outside my house, but I'm not driving it very much at the moment and would rather put it away for a while.
a location would help, someone near you may know somewhere.

Alex and I have been corresponding offline and he has a slot booked - unfortunately his car wasn’t happy with that, so it decided not to play when Alex found time to bring it up :D
