SE4 Coupe owners

Post by mermar74 » Tue Nov 27, 2007 8:48 am

Hi all,
Is there any Coupe owners on this side of the pond, I own an SE4c which I am totally rebuilding from ground up. This will be a major build and includes constructing a new replacement chassis, installing a new 3.4 liter Essex, 5 speed gearbox etc.
The Coupes are very rare in Australia, and I can only wonder how many are about.

Hi,

Have a look at this site. There are a few Australian Scimitar (GTE and GT) owners that meet up now and again I believe:

Do you have any photos of your car?

Kind Regards

Hi Dave,
My Coupe is the car pictured on the site you mentioned. These pictures where taken just after I purchased it 8 months ago. I have since dismantled it to a bare chassis and am in the process of carrying out a very thorough rebuild and upgrade. I have other pictures taken during dismantling and also of the new chassis I am constructing.

Cheers
Victor Pace

welcome to the forum Harky.

not sure if a coupe wiring diagram exists but I expect Geoff Cooper and/or Matt Greenly have one if it does :D

it's probably almost identical to the SE5 (minus rear wash/'wipe :D )

Hi Harky, and Welcome to the forum :D

A wiring diagram for the V6 Coupe does exist, here's a copy:

Note that I'm not actually a Coupe owner or an electrical guru, so I can't comment on it's detail accuracy :)

Hope it helps,

Welcome Harky,

Do you know if your car is registered with the club? If not, can you please have a look at this thread and then let me have a registration form and some photos please? viewtopic.php?f=5&t=2674

I don't think there are many coupes in the southern hemisphere so you're part of a very exclusive bunch, we do have a strong international membership though so you never know who'll turn up to offer more local advice. In the meantime, if you need any help or advice (parts sourcing etc), just ask

cheers, Matt

Hi Harky - I can send you a coloured version of the wiring drawing, send me your email address off group and I will forward it to you.
