Am I making a big mistake?

Post by TOP DOG » Wed Mar 18, 2020 11:06 am

I went to collect my freebie today, it didn't go well.
Everything is frozen solid, not a snowball chance in hell of winching it on the trailer. I hope a tilt tray with a big winch maybe able to skull drag it on.

My wife spent 4 hours saying, just leave it here it's a P.O.S. :-(

What do you think? I think I'm hooked. :-)

If that hole in the chassis plate is really someone’s attempt to find an earth, the bodges are going to be awesome! Please start a project thread so we can all share in your pain (we’ve all been there :D )

If you can make THAT look like THAT you deserve a prize.
Good luck.

I paid £500 for my heap in 1995. Stayed on axle stands in the garage for 11 years so you have just to take your time

There was a grey covered bowl like thing screwed to it (I"ll get a pic, maybe someone will know what it is), but it did have an earth lead coming from it, screwed in there. :-)

I recovered mine from a chicken shed where it had lived for hundreds of years. After a year and a half she was on the road and now she’s a source of constant pain enjoyment, but I wouldn’t change things.
