Coupe interior lights

Post by scimjim » Mon Dec 05, 2016 11:21 pm

A request has been made on FB for these (I need one too). They have been unobtanium for years - perhaps modern technology has made the manufacture of the covers more viable?

Presumably you mean these two NOS? Without measurements they do look similar but I'm looking for a more enduring and controllable supply solution.

Exactly what I was thinking. Ben Faulkener has suggested it on FB.

The ones on eBay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VINTAGE-CLASS ... SwcLxYMrsk are similar but not the same. I got a pair off a Rover specialist and fitted them to Coupe B pillars but the base is too wide really. The covers are not interchangeable.

I've also got a pair of Rover P5 interior lights which are as the ebay advert though didn't pay anywere near that for them, they aren't the same but as the only alternative I came across was a crappy plastic thing from a proper MINI thought they'll have to do, not tried them mind you for sit.

Not original, but I've fitted a 6a rear loadspace light on mine, it fits nicely on the B pillar and works well
