Thanks Viv. I'd be interested to hear how you get on fitting the screens.

I had mine fitted this week.

The fitter said that sometimes you don't get a perfect fit with reproduction screens, sometimes they are a fraction out with the curve and they don't sit flush.

Anyhoo, no such problems, mine fits like a glove. Very pleased !

Just need to work out how I'm going to wire it up.

The ideas great but surely visions restricted with those big blue things on the screen, i thought the heating elements were almost impossible to see....

Hi,

Just realised that I had completely forgotten about the front and rear se5 screens ordered. I need to get this sorted out, also anyone got any leads on a good screen fitter?

Picked up SS1 screens from Viv yesterday (many thanks for collection and storage!), surprised to see it's a green tint, thought after initial discussions it was to be brown tint to match side windows??

The one I got for the SS1 racer is a beige/brown/bronze tint. Maybe they sent you the wrong the wrong one?

Well that's strange as these were from the first batch, picked up by Viv the week after Curbs 2014.

They look to be the right size, I assume GTE screens are vastly different, not just a few mm difference?

Well you could've knocked me down with a feather

Just been back in the garage (totally convinced that mine was bronze), had a look at the car, still convinced it's bronze........ though starting to think it may actually be clear.

Then I had a brainwave and placed a white sheet of paper behind the side windows and then behind the new screen..... Mine's only got a bloody green tint

Maybe I'm a bit colour blind  That must be the reason I keep mistaking the grass for the track

So in short Trevor. Don't worry, it's difficult to tell the difference when fitted. I think the heated element makes it difficult to distinguish the colour of the glass. A bit like the blue dress debate, some people's eyes pick up different colours more easily. Or that's what I'm telling myself..................
