Yes I will want one as a spare provisionally. If a tubular one is available at around the same price I would think that would be far better, even if it does require a new downpipe. I would need to know prices of all the components though.

As My engine is probably coming out, sooner or later, has this manufacturing project still got legs?.

Yes, but it's progress is in small spurts.
The tooling needs modification to resolve some dimensional/ design problems that preventsd the prototypes being a straight fit.
easier said than done unfortunately.

Are these any nearer, if they just need modifications from the foundry what is it??

I have full machining capability and could probably do the modification if I knew what it was.

Quick message to say , the casting patterns need modification as the new design caused its own issues with clearance.

assistance and suggestions allways welcome so will try to elaborate on the issues soon.

The project isnt an RSSOC one at all, its currently funded and has been designed and instigated by a club member. I am going to meet with himpotentially next week to discuss current state of play and whats needed to move forward.

Give me a couple of weeks and i shall report back to Committee then will post on here :-)

Having only joined the forum recently I have only just noticed the thread. What is the current state of play? This would certainly interest me if these are available now. :D

Hi,
It's been a while but I put my name down for one of these sometime ago. I'm not sure if it was a reply to someone in Slice. I don't appear on the list so please do include me as confirmed.
Thanks
Graham

I wouldn't put any projects on hold waiting .... I want two ... but I've wanted that for 3 years at least ...
I write down everything I want to remember. That way, instead of spending a lot of time trying to remember what it is I wrote down, I spend the time looking for the paper I wrote it down on.

Nah, not forgotten - my life has become stupidly busy - we can't build data centres fast enough so I'm in and out the country a lot, so much so that none of the cars even got touched last year, I got no time off at all last year. Spend so much time in front of a screen that it isn't on the agenda most evenings. Decided this year will be different, I've taken Easter off although I know I'll regret it when I get back.
