Mad SS1 à vendre à Nice

Post by DARK STAR » Sat Nov 23, 2019 3:36 pm

Just up the road from me, Pierre Asso is selling on behalf of Pierre Urisari the ex Paul Maddison SS1.
The car has set some spectacular times in hillclimbs in the hands of professional drivers and Pierre (the second one) has decided it is much faster than he is 8)
So it is for sale at a very reasonable price to someone who can use it as intended.

It’s a very quick car - or certainly was when Paul had it. The name of the guy who originally modified it escapes me but I think he was building a hot 1400 CVH Sabre or SST after?

I saw it quite regularly at Goodwood when Tony was developing it. I think the deal with Paul resulted in the ex-GW racer going the other way, as I think I have a photo in my archive somewhere of Tony in it at a GRRC Spring Sprint.

This was Paul’s sales thread on the car but info is sparse.

Autosprint cam and a slightly beefier turbo from memory? Might have been some head porting in the mix too. Was certainly well put together as a fast road/occasional track car.

Well, it's on the continent now, Scimitars tend to be much more valued there, and sell for higher prices as a result....
