Je demande en anglais parce-que le proprio est probablement britannique ...

Anyone have any details on this pic?
The car must be well-known so who was it and when?
I think I know where it was ...

Can't give you any more than the fact that the registration (good one BTW) does not currently show up on a DVLA search.

Good grief you'd think a reg no like that would survive
The car looks new - perhaps it was.

Yes, that surprised me too but it may be on retention and just not assigned to a car at the moment.

Right, I'm on a quest now.

The car was in this magazine http://routenostalgie.free.fr/numeros/r ... sme_n4.htm
which is not old but the article may have been a retrospective.
Anyone got a copy ?

Quelqu'un en a une copie ?

From a quick google
The car belonged to Alwyn Brice, author of "Something for the weekend" & editor of Car Classics in the 90s

I am very impressed.
I only got as far as finding a better image of the magazine and one inside page (not the right one).
Also now an image of the book cover, published in 2010 and apparently still available (unlike the magazine).
From reading Alwyn Brice's account I suppose the photo above dates from about 1990, which is certainly retrospective!

Worth noting the top pic is an 1800ti where as the one in the cover of the book is a 1600

Quite an interesting article, though there are a few errors.
For example, if I'm not mistaken, the light blue invalid cars were made by another specialist car company AC not by Reliant -
and it didn't seem to do their image any harm

Well I was nearly right  Wikipedia also says

Notes[edit]
Invacar was not the only company to be contracted by the Ministry of Health to produce three-wheeled vehicles for disabled drivers. Others included Harding, Dingwall & Son, AC Cars, Barrett, Tippen & Son, Thundersley and Coventry Climax.[1]

Coventry Climax too!
We have a similar situation en France where the glorious marque Ligier is now responsible only for 'sans permis' voiturettes.
Incidentally I didn't realize Citroën were behind Aixam - this is a slightly modified Aixam (I think) ...
