Metric data for wheel alignment SE5A anyone?

Post by Lysander » Tue Jul 22, 2014 10:41 am

Hello Overseas owners, like myself here in Germany at the moment.
Has anybody ever converted the data for the front wheels into metric norm? The workshop wants to know what to use for setting up the new steering rack...

Every help would be much aprecciated,

Regards,
Lenni

It's quite easy to convert zero from imperial to metric :-)

Take no notice of Jim he likes a daily dose of sarcasm. Degrees are neither imperial nor metric. But you might want radians so multiply 0 degrees by pi/180 = 0 radians. :D

Tracking (the only thing you would affect when changing a steering rack) is measured in inches or millimetres. The tracking on a GTE/C is parallel, or zero (inches or millimetres). The rest of the suspension settings are in imperial and metric (except for degrees which are an accepted SI unit) in the workshop manual.
