Aeromobile, Bourgogne, 28 August

Post by Oldconn » Thu Jul 28, 2016 3:12 pm

I have received details of this, it sounds like a super day out with some real"classics" both on the ground and in the air. Free admission if you arrive in the morning in a Classic car. CANDY will be there, gearbox willing.......

We had a fantastic day in Pouilly last weekend with Ian ... a pretty good collection of cars and even better selection of aircrafts :D
Purple & Candy were once more side by side to show the ~ 5000 visitors what hunting breaks are all about
We were surprised to meet people who knew about them - what a change - some of them mentioning that someone
in the area owns at least 2 or 3 Scimitars
(must be Sjef Schlepers as they mentionned he had some connection with The Netherlands  )

Cheers,
Fred

Somebody asked "where were the aircraft?" - so here are a few:

Collectors of rare photographs please note: This was the first time in many years that my legs have been seen in public! - and they won't be out again this year!

Hello Ian,

I do have another series of pics prepared to flight ... but had forgotten the leaflet (with the aircrafts' exact names) at the office
So will post them tonight
Sorry about the collector pic  ... I can remove it if you wish ?

Cheers,
Fred

People think the Chinese copyright infringements are bad - and the Russians made some fantastic copies of Western planes during the Cold War (concordski anyone? :-)) - but this isn't called the "French Beaver" for nothing

Of course I did not drive 170 miles in the early morning just to watch them sit
We had to be patient though since the exhibition flights started only at 14:00
After demonstrations by small models as an apetizer, we enjoyed seing all the big ones flying - although the T6 had been reluctant
to start - battery problem -

Enjoy !
Fred
