Part IV - more festival

Still around: the Scimitar:

The above mentioned neighbours of the Lotus club showed two Europas:

Morgans from 1957 and 2013 - not much changed...

Now here we have a car most people would consider as ugly - but any Alfa with a Zagato body is a classic:

Another Zagato bodied car, the Lancia Fulvia:

We stay in Italy, with this Maserati Merak...

...and this De Tomaso Pantera:

Way more ordinary but still rare - Toyota Celica:

Back on the track, the Matra Prototype of Mr. Pescarolo:

Dark Thing's race brother:

Alfa Bertone in full war paint:

Though "only" a replica, still a head turner - Ferrari P4:

Let's take a look under the hood:

Another Pescarolo special - the Inaltera:

NSU Prinz in the typic race configuration with open hood:

Looks a bit like from a comic, but a race car nonetheless - Dauphine Proto:

Very nice and original VW Scirocco:

Dog drives Alfa:

My favorite of the festival: a 1936 Talbot T120 Baby in SUCH a nice condition... if you want to talk about patina, this was THE best example I have seen yet. Absolutely astonishing but NOT factory-new finish. Superb.

Just look at the leather:

And did you notice? Right-hand drive! The owner explained to me that this was the way to do it in pre-war luxury cars...was considered posh!

How often can you see (on public roads) a Jaguar C-type in the mirror:

Epilogue

To summ it up - I very much enjoyed this weekend. Most important, I gained confidence in the Scimitar, which showed no problems at all... okay, for some reasons the brake-light flickers from time to time, though the fluid level is correct... the noise from the rear axle comes and goes, and some whining can be heared from time to time... but hey, nowhere near the "tale of the two Scimitars" we heared from Fred :D

So maybe again next year with more Scimitars....

Coincidentally, I saw a Lancia Fulvia Sport Zagato today too :)

(not a brilliant photo, as it was about to escape!)

The Talbot T120 is certainly rather nice! :D
