I had the message board attachment quota exceeded too, is it a problem general?

Actually I first thought that I did some stupid mistake, so I tried to attach one of my old photos (already attached to another post)
and it worked :P ... then tried again with the new one .. and failed with the quota message
Maybe an update on the phpBB ? or is there really a quota of attachements per member ?

Fred,

I think you've reached the attachment limit for the whole of the forum...for the third time, I think... ;) Not that I'm counting. I can't increase it again though (as it will take the website database to the next price point in hosting fees) and will have to purge some of your earlier pics soon.

Edit: just done a rough check and about 8% of the whole attachment quota is just yours, Fred..

Fred, I'd recommend Photobucket as the easiest way of hosting photos offsite and posting them onto the forum. It has some quirks, but it's certainly easier than Flikr (which I also use, for other purposes)

With the number of pictures Fred posts, I imagine PB would quickly reach it's free limit :-)

8% of the global quota   ? I am so sorry about this

I will remove some of my pics right away to allow other members to attach to ther posts this morning, and I shall start replacing the other ones by links to photobucket

Once again my apologies to all forum members for using up so much room with those pics

Cheers,
Fred

No problem ... actually I have just uploaded some of the pics on Photobucket and performed a test with replacing the attachments that were under the Goodwood Revival 2014 thread with direct links, and it's so much easier - and lighter for the forum  -
No need for you to clean up my old pics, I will do the cleaning myself  ... no worries !
I should have started with Photobucket a long time ago

Thanks for your patience, and once again sorry for the trouble

Well, I have done a bit of cleaning ... and my bucket already contains 170 pics, so that should be as many attachements less on the forum

I will keep replacing attachements by links over the next few days, but I can already greet you with the latest pics from last Sunday

Cheers,
Fred

Wow .. time's flying
I have had been pretty busy at work and did not realize how far behind I am now with my pics
While checking batteries & memory stick on the camera for tomorrow's noggin, I suddenly realized
that I did not post anything about last month :?

Here's the collection of cars that were on the ground last February. Most of them you have already seen,
however a couple of newbies :) They were coming in all sizes, from King Size (Rolls Royce Silver Cloud
and two Jaguars MK VII) down to Minis ... and even smaller than a Mini (a Secma F16 ... as 'french guest'
among our english mob)

Got to get ready for tomorrow now ... we are expecting a sunny & mild Sunday, so plenty of cars should turn up
Cheers, Fred

Thanks to a beautiful sunny day, this March's noggin almost set a record ... 38 cars + 1 bike
Albeit a bit chilly, there were signs of springtime: half of the roadsters were top down, and several bonnets open

Below is the usual report list of attendees - 'en vrac' this time - followed by a few pics of the Austin Healey 3000Z
that suffered a detailed shooting sequence

All 195 pics (130 of them on the Healey) are available here: https://picasaweb.google.com/english.re ... u8Mars2015

Cheers, Fred

Here is a series of pics from our April  noggin in Nemours ... thanks to the weather,
we've hit a record number of 40 vehicles bathing in the morning sun :D

A majority of Triumphs as usual - I have heard that even the Triumph club was baffled by the number of cars we have
for a small 'local' club  - followed by Jags and other brands.

The noggin was followed by a little run towards the place of one of our members, who invited us to celebrate his
new facilities - mainly the elevator - as you will discover below. Beside his running cars (the Daimler, Rolls Royce,
Citroen Traction and HY van, another Citroen truck and the Fiat Balilla) that guy has a barn full of other cars waiting
for restauration ... sounds like his workshop is going to be busy

Cheers, Fred

Alpine looks mean, Porsche 928 is nice - but my favourite is still the Barker Daimler.

We are over for the 'Le Mans 24Hrs' in a few weeks - are any of your guys/gals attending. If so then we are camping at 'La Suze sur sarthe' and would be happy to meet up.
